Non-residents in Japan are unable to hold consolidated accounts (sōgō kōza).
The account opened will be a Mizuho e-Account, and a bankbook will not be automatically issued. If you wish to receive a physical bankbook, an issuance fee of 1,100 yen (including tax) per bankbook will be charged for each issuance and renewal.
